New Holland resident Susan Cox initially came to Shady Maple Smorgasbord and Conference Center for the food — breakfast with friends, specifically. But she stayed for the 50plus EXPO.

Cumberland County’s baby boomers, seniors, and caregivers connected with community resources during the Cumberland County 50plus  EXPO, which returned to the Carlisle Expo Center for its 19th year on Oct. 17.

While much of the morning world was still sipping coffee and coaxing groggy mental gears into full functionality, the waiting crowd of boomers and seniors inside Spooky Nook Sports was ready and raring to go by 9 a.m.
