The crowd of guests during the recent Lancaster County 50plus EXPO (Spring) comprised a mixture of moving, talking boomers and seniors, many meandering from booth to booth with relaxed expressions, soaking in the event’s inherent sociability, chatting with friends and neighbors they came across.

The clock struck 9 a.m. not a minute too soon. The lobby of the Carlisle Expo Center was filled to bursting as the crowd accumulated, waiting for the doors to open for the start of the 18th annual Cumberland County 50plus EXPO on Oct. 19.
One part entertainment attraction, one part informational resource, with a helping of health and a dash of community fair—these unusual “ingredients” blend to create the unique atmosphere at the York County 50plus EXPO, held recently at the York Expo Center.

Though June 8 presented clear skies and sunshine, the warm weather did not prevent baby boomers, seniors, and caregivers from opting for a day spent indoors at the 14th Annual Chester County 50plus EXPO.
By June, the gymnasium of Exton’s Church Farm School will be empty of students, but its halls and courts will still see heavy foot traffic when the Chester County 50plus EXPO returns Thursday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
