RSVP of the Capital Region is seeking volunteers age 55 and older to fill many opportunities in York County.

Available volunteer openings include:

  • AARP Foundation Tax-Aide of York County – Tax-Aide counselor and client facilitator
  • American Red Cross – Blood drive, disaster action team, and office support volunteers
  • Appell Center for the Performing Arts – Many volunteer opportunities
  • CARIE – Volunteer education position on Medicare fraud
  • CASA – Mentors
  • Hanover Public Schools – Math and reading tutors and mentors
  • Jewish Family Services – Volunteer drivers and food support volunteers         
  • Mason-Dixon Community Services – Food pantry client/center services volunteer
  • Mount Wolf Area – Therapeutic riding volunteer
  • Northeastern Senior Center – Meals on Wheels drivers      
  • Northern Central Railway – Various volunteer opportunities                 
  • Servants – Home Helps volunteers for home maintenance and repair in York and Lancaster counties; and various Volunteer Café opportunities at their place in Red Lion
  • Southeastern School District and City of York School District – Math and reading tutors
  • York County Literacy Council – Tutors
  • York Food Bank – Distribution/warehouse volunteer, office assistant, drivers
