Residents at Blue Bell Place were “all shook up” when “Elvis” performed his most popular songs during a sock hop event held at the Watermark retirement community on Aug. 20.

More than 45 residents attended the event and enjoyed socializing, dancing, and singing along to music provided by Elvis Presley impersonator Jeff Krick Jr.

Resident Janice Spivack, an avid Elvis fan, was especially delighted to spend time with the King of Rock ’n’ Roll.

Spivack has an ample collection of Elvis memorabilia including pillows, blankets, records, and much more. She even brought her large cardboard cut-out of the star to the event for everyone to enjoy.

For two other Blue Bell Place residents, the sock hop brought back memories of their time as dancers on the popular television program American Bandstand.

All the residents relished the special diner-themed menu, complete with milkshakes and fries.

Krick will be performing at this fall’s 50plus EXPO in Carlisle on Oct. 16. For more information, visit 50plusexpopa.com.
