The parking lot of Lancaster Evangelic Free Church recently hosted vehicles of all types for United Zion’s Annual Car & Motorcycle Cruise.

“We had a wide range of different vehicles from 1930 to 2019, fire trucks to motorcycles. It is always a thrill to see so many different vehicles and people out for the event,” said Megan Weiss, event organizer.

The busy night raised almost $9,000 for United Zion’s benevolent care fund, which helps cover the cost of care when a resident no longer has the finances to do so.

Paper awards and plaques were given to winners chosen by local celebrity judges, including: Ambassador Advisor’s Dan Bailey, Rohrer’s Service Center’s Cole Zimmerman, Seiverling Museum’s Darrien Seiverling, Lititz Mayor Tim Snyder, High Sports’ Scott High, United Zion’s Board President Jessica Musser, and United Zion Retirement Community’s CEO Sue Verdegem.

The more than two dozen winners included the prize for Best in Show, which went to Mel Hurst for his 1966 Chevrolet Corvette.
