Farmers market nutrition vouchers are now being mailed to eligible Cumberland County seniors 60 years of age and older who complete an application.

Farmers market voucherThe nutrition vouchers — four $6 vouchers for a $24 total value — can be exchanged for Pennsylvania-grown fruits and vegetables from June 1 through Nov. 30 at participating farmers markets and roadside stands.

To be eligible, recipients must be 60 years of age or older by Dec. 31, 2022, and have an annual income less than $25,142 for a one-person household and $33,874 for a two-person household.

Proxy forms are not necessary this year with the written application process.

Vouchers are available on a first-come, first-served basis, as funding is limited. Vouchers may only be obtained once per year.

Completed applications must be returned by Sept. 15 via email to hdewire@ccpa.net or by mail to Cumberland County Aging & Community Services, c/o Heather DeWire, 1100 Claremont Road, Carlisle, PA 17015.
