Peggy Kurtz Keller, of Ephrata, placed Second Runner-Up at the 2017 Ms. Senior America pageant, held at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City Oct. 15-19.

Keller, 2011 PA State Senior Idol winner and 2017 Ms. Pennsylvania Senior America, performed “Summertime” from Porgy & Bess during the pageant’s talent portion.

The annual competition included 37 state-level winners vying for the national title.

“I had the best time! I truly lived my philosophy of life last week!” Keller said soon after the pageant.

“I did the best I could do—there is nothing I could have changed at the moment of competition. I met 36 wonderful women who are talented and beautiful, inside and out.”

Carolyn Slade Harden, of New Jersey, took home the top honor. Donna Vincler, of Tennessee, earned first runner-up; Lee Ann Brill, of New York, was second runner-up; and Sharon Parry, of Wyoming, took third runner-up.

“I feel that my mission for the next year is to promote this wonderful opportunity to other women who have reached the age of elegance,” Keller said.
