Additional opportunities have been added for distribution of the remaining fruit and vegetable vouchers for eligible York County senior citizens who did not already receive them.

The York County Area Agency on Aging, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, offers the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program to eligible York County seniors.

This program provides $20 in vouchers to eligible seniors to buy fresh fruit and vegetables from participating local farm markets.

Vouchers will be distributed as long as voucher supply lasts at:

 

Sept. 10, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

White Rose Senior Center

27 S. Broad St., York

 

Sept. 25, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

50plus EXPO

York Expo Center

334 Carlisle Ave., West Manchester Township

 

These vouchers can be redeemed until Nov. 30 on fruits and vegetables grown in Pennsylvania. Individuals are eligible to receive the vouchers only once per calendar year.
